For Employers

For Employers: Ways to Get Involved

“I didn’t know how to transition from being a clinical dentist to being a public health professional. I ended up participating in the CSA and learned about values, other people’s experiences, and it gave me hope.”

—  Nathalie Blanc, CSA Alum ’22

Ways to Get Involved

Volunteer Your Time

Throughout the year, CSA and the Office of Career Services hosts resume review and interview preparation events. Volunteer opportunities can be tailored to your availability and interests. Click here to contact a representative from the Career Skills Academy team.

Virtual Career Fair Sponsor

The CUNY SPH Office of Career Services hosts a Virtual Career Fair, the perfect way for CUNY SPH graduate students and alumni to connect with prospective employers and learn about career and internship opportunities. A sponsor will have placement on event and marketing materials, and at a certain level, a representative from your company can make a presentation to an audience of more than 300 students and alumni.

Virtual Office Hours

During Virtual Office Hours, a representative from your company will have the chance to meet with CUNY SPH students and alumni. This is a wonderful opportunity for visitors to learn more about your company, hiring process, etc. Additionally, you can connect with students and alumni to learn about their academic and professional pursuits as well as what the next generation of public health leaders are looking for in an employer and career experience.

Host a Masterclass or Workshop

During a masterclass or workshop, students will learn about valuable professional hard and soft skills. The CSA team will work with you to develop your topic and content. Previous topics have included living your career values, building an authentic professional identity/brand, cultivating relationships, professional communications, imposter syndrome, and conflict resolution.
